MLA – Citing Periodicals

Citing periodicals in MLA format requires including enough information that the reader can accurately locate the original source, including the author’s name, the title of the article in quotation marks, the title of the periodical (such as a journal, magazine, or newspaper) in italics, the volume and issue numbers (if applicable), the date of publication, and the page numbers on which the article appears. For online periodicals, you should also include the URL or DOI (digital objective identifier).


Citing a Blog Post

Format:
Last Name, First Name. “Title of Blog Post.” Title of Blog, Publisher (if different from the blog title), Date of Post, URL.

Citing a Journal Article

Format:
