Description

Help your students learn to analyze texts by using the S.P.A.C.E.C.A.T. method of rhetorical analysis. This widely used heuristic is commonly taught in high school, AP, and college English classes but could also be used for art, communication, marketing or other media-related courses. Worksheet includes questions for each of the eight areas of analysis—Speaker, Purpose, Audience, Context, Exigence, Choices, Appeals, and Tone—with space for students to write their responses.
